We at Small Wonders pride ourselves on our menus.  All of our meals and snacks are made from scratch on the same day as serving .  By excluding processed foods and including fresh or frozen fruits and vegetables, as well as high quality protein you can be assured that your child's nutritional needs are being met.  We are a participant in the Child Care and Adult Food Program.  All of our meals, breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack are served family style so your children are learning self-help skills as well.

We are a certified Eco-Healthy Child Care center.  In order to be endorsed our center must comply with 24 practices for environmental health.  These include using safe cleaning products in our daily cleaning routines, using non-toxic art supplies, maintaining adequate air quality and recycling.  For more information please visit www.cehn.org

We are lucky to have a temperate climate here in the Pacific Northwest.  We are also blessed to have 4 different playgrounds for our children to enjoy and to provide a variety of experiences and give them plenty of room to run jump and play.  These include 2 separate areas with age appropriate equipment for toddlers and preschoolers, a large open field and a smaller more nature oriented area.  Please remember to wear outer clothing to handle our rainy season, as we go outside daily.

Builders are foregoing traditional forced air heating in favor of radiant heat.  Radiant heat provides an even temperature throughout the center and concentrates comfort at the floor level where it is actually felt.  What better for small children.  It operates silently and does not force dust through needless vents. For allergy sufferers and others concerned about indoor air quality radiant heat can be like a breath of fresh air.
